The Day the Crayons Quit

This is a reading guide was designed as part of our community CoLAB project, teaching university students and other volunteers to create, edit, and read through a social justice lens. It accompanies The Day the Crayons Quit by Michael Hall. We recommend that grownups read the focus book and the reading guide content BEFORE reading with young readers. This guide will help you prepare your own questions for your young readers and choose vocabulary, history, and other related topics to integrate into your learning and discussion. Lesson content was written by guest writer CHANNEL AMBROSE and edited by Anna Jaeger and Monica Zavala. It was designed to start or deepen anti-racist and anti-bias conversations in families and other learning communities. All Community CoLAB Reading Guides are offered for FREE.
