Today, we're celebrating two birthdays -- Reading Is Resistance & co-founder Zapoura Newton-Calvert. Coincidence? Definitely not.
Five years ago, Zapoura co-founded the organization on her birthday kicking it off with a fundraiser to put own voices books in Little Free Libraries in North Portland. And now the project has grown and grown. So much so that we are launching our own PATREON!
