What's a community issue that matters to you?  What's something you love to do?  Let's get creative and design a spring break social justice practice just for you to share with your family, your classroom, and/or your friends .  We'll start by rooting in powerful stories from children's literature .  And we'll move to  connecting in community and designing a hands-on action to take.

READING IS RESISTANCE 101 

AN INTRODUCTION: A short workshop designed to introduce participants to the idea of reading children's literature as an act of resistance.  Frameworks, samples, and resources shared.

READ FOR JUSTICE BOOK STUDY
(SELF-PACED & REAL-TIME OPTIONS)

Designed with a single picture book at the heart, this guided contemplative workshop encourages slow reading, reflective writing, and resource exploration. Dedicated to cultivating anti-racist capacity in ourselves and with learners of all ages in our spheres of influence.

MAKE & TAKE CURRICULUM WORKSHOP

Arranged one-on-one or for small groups, this space is designed for co-working with all participants and the facilitator working on REading Guide development alongside each other

LEARN WITH US...

SIDE-BY-SIDE PRACTICE

This is an informal but focused educational practice space where grown ups interested in racial justice come together and work on educational content side-by-side.  Whether you're designing a lesson plan, creating a library request list, or doing something way outside of the box, you are welcome here.  Ask questions, collaborate, and create community.
