Reading Is Resistance uses the Teaching Tolerance Social Justice Standards as a starting point for the development of its book-related discussion questions and learning activities. These standards are aligned by age and are split into four different domains (identity, diversity, justice, and action) that become more nuanced as children grow in their anti-bias learning starting in grades K-2 and up to grades 9-12.  These standards are free for use by educators and this particular visual has been designed by Reading Is Resistance for ease of use.
