Picture Book Month

November is National Picture Book Month, which aims to feature illustrators and their illustrations in picture books. Not only are illustrations important for young readers, but such illustrations should highlight and express diversity and equity. Picture Book Month is a great opportunity for educators and parents to show diverse illustrations to children and discuss how the content of the book and illustrations are related. This curated book list consists of picture books that reflect diversity through people and families of color, cultural celebrations, and multi-racialrelationships. You can find picture books for infants, toddlers, and young elementary aged-children in this book list.
